If you copy the link for it, and put it here I can add the link to it in my first post, all you have to do is put the http://(yourshop).etsy.com here for me.

How Selling on Etsy Works (What Etsy is)

In short it's a place to sell handmade things.  There's fee's involved, which need to be taken into consideration in the asking price.

To be honest, I've not added anything to mine in a while so I don't know.

I've had mine for a couple months. so far I've only made 1 sale. (thank you, lil!). basically, from what I've read, it's all about promoting yourself. you have to promote.  it's all about advertising. you put your shop on every site you frequent. you talk in the etsy forums as often as possible. it's a good idea to buy ad space on etsys home page. (swapbot also has a way you can put up an add there. or join swapbot, and put it in your profile, and frequent there forums.. but those can get hard to read. ) also, good pictures are key. (i have lousy pics, and haven't done anything about it.. very bad...) when buying on the internet, all you have to go by are pictures, so if you want to sell, you have to take good pics! (they have a tip on etsy on how to make a photographers light box. i can't find the page, but basically you cut out all but the frame of three sides of a box. put tissue paper over the openings. put poster board up th back of the box. then put flood lights, or outdoor light.. any strong light around it. the light reflects off all sides of the tissue. i used white posterboard in mine, but i thnk i need to get some that are colored. it's not helping when the object i'm photographing is light. i've been putting fabric behind it, but i need to try the colored poster board. also, i put the tissue on the outside ouf my box. that was a mistake, because you can see the box in my pics.

I have  sold one item on etsy so far and at that time I only had 8 items. I go on the forums and learn from the others. I am slowly putting more items on. Just click on Etsy.com and it explains everything. Very simple and low cost. It is 20 cents to list an item for 4 months up to 6 pictures free and when you sell they take 3.5 % , it is best to add a new item every now and then, it puts you on the front page for others to see.

Soon as we move (end of march) I will post my etsy (or try to) site I may need Pixie and/or Tinkers help

I have sold 6 items on etsy. I also have a shop on artfire. Artfire is new.

Links are below or you can go to   www.craftnique.etsy.com or www.craftnique.artfire.com

As with any business, you have to promote.

Pixie what is your etsy shop name?

Thanks, Tinker! I should know better by now, huh? LOL

And, thanks for the welcome Scootchie. I will always join whenever I have something I think will add to the mix! LOL But I'm not one for posting just for the sake of posting, so often I merely read and move on without commenting.

I've looked at your quilts, Tristan, and they're fantastic.  Each is a work of art.
