Hello Folks! This weekend has been beautiful here in Appalachia! It was 70 & sunny yesterday. My husband & I went to the grocery yesterday. We stopped at a junk/yard sale & picked up some neat stuff. Today we put in a new over-the-range microwave 'cause the old one died a while back. We've been having perfect weather for ramps & morel mushrooms. I didn't get to the woods today but I hope to try after work sometime this week. Anyone else here from West Virginia?

i don't know what a ramp is but i love morells. wish we had them here. should have but have not been able to find any. send them my way.

It was a whopping 86 here in my hometown of LaGrange, GA.

It was that warm here also. But today is a different story. It is only 43 right now..dang what a change again..Oh Deb, I forget the lake is there..does make a differnce..no swimming weather yet anyway..hehehe

i saw sun a little over the week end, not enough though. it sure would be nice to see the sun for a few days. i'm worried that if the sun dose not come out soon the plants i have will drown and the seeds that are not up will rot! but it's clouds, clouds, rain, and clouds. i like rain but this it too much of a good thing if i want a garden this year.

guess what...its raining again or going to rain...my day off and its crappy out. Well, guess I can't have everything. lol and soon the little flakes will be falling then I will complain hehe temp wise..its not bad. this week was up to 60..so it was nice.

how bout this, had to light the fireplace the last cople of nights but had to open the windows as soon as the sun came out! but i am not going to complain becuse i am sure i will miss the warmer days by this time next month. have had the feeling all year that this winter was going to be unpleasant. i sure hope i am wrong becuse this would be the one time i would love to be wrong.

Okay, most of you know I complain about the weather here all the time....simple because it's always too hot LOL I know it's Florida but here it is mid November and it's still hot outside UGH!!!!! It's nice & sunny too which I love but a cool breeze would be wonderful, just to make it a bit more like Fall : ). We've had one week of 'cold' weather and that wasn't cold at all....not compared to alot of you up north. Anywho that's my gripe for the day or week as the weather never seems to change. I can only imagine what the summer is going to be like....YIKES!!!

It was quite a 'shock to the system' to leave the 80 deg weather in Sothern Calif to come home to the freezing weather !! Especially didn't like it this morning when i walked out of the sleep study place before daybreak to find my car covered with frost. No ice scraper in the car, so drug out a credit card and scraped away...with defrosters going. Didn't take tooo long.

Had frost on my windsheild this week Lil...I scrapped one morning and yesterday I had a peep hole so took off without doing it..two minutes and it was off..thank goodness, glad no one is up at that time of the morning..just me..lol It looks like rain or something today. Its not warm so could be anything. A snow storm missed us and went into Iowa. thank goodnes..haha
