Nicky...I can send you some blocks...I can whip up a few pretty quick...About how many do you need to be "donated"? I suppose it doesn't matter, cause you will probably be able to use them in a FUTURE quilt that we havent' decided on yet. And girl...I have all the backing fabric you want/need!!! I am HAPPY to send it to you. Gives me the chance to clear out a little & to see it put to a good use. I brought home a couple of bolts of fabric while going thru my Mom's things. I'm the only one who would be able to use it. I should have it in the mail to you this week. Pine Nut’s PhotoBucket

Thanks Pine, I have 15 blocks I am planning 5 blocks wide and 6 long (30 blocks) or 60" by 72" for the blocks and add 3 borders, 3", 4", &5" all around to make it 84X96+ hem. Do You think that sounds OK? BTW does anyone else have input? I'm not Old, I've just been young for a very long time.

Nicky, let me check and see what I have in big pieces of material. I might have a piece that is a possibility even if you don't use it now. I have really got to get into my craft room anyway. Things have got shoved in there just to be out of the way...if you know what I mean..a collect all room!!! I know I have two squares that are really messed up and I might have another...I can whip up some more too if you want. How many do you need? and what size?

I realize that we all made 12" blocks for the next charity quilt because that's the size of the blocks in our frinedship quilt. I think, however, that I prefer the more personal, smaller size to give away. Will we continue making the larger ones or get back to the lap size quilts? How soon do you need more squares and what size? Jenx Jenx’s PhotoBucket

Jenx...You are either up too late...Or up too early! LOL! I'm not sure I understand what you mean. Both quilts (friends & charity) have the same size blocks...right? The smaller, more personal blocks?? are the friendship quilt blocks? I leave it up to Nicky to decide the size of the charity quilt. If I figure this right...Nicky may have 3 quilts in the making...counting her MS. quilt. ?? Or is it 2? If Nicky got a block from each of us...That is 12??? And I sent her a few "practice" blocks...So if she has about 15 blocks...She needs about 15 more blocks. I've got some things here already started that I can send off...I'll make it a priority to get it into the mail this week!! (no procrastinating anymore!) Pine Nut’s PhotoBucket

Hi Jenx, Glad you are back. I believe that when we desided to give this family a quilt we desided on a full size because they had lost everything in a fire. I am with you though after this we should go back to the lap quilts no matter the size of the blocks. I'm not Old, I've just been young for a very long time.

NIcky, I don't have any fabric, but will send you some more money to help with the cost. Life goes on, it is the journey that matters not the ending!

Nicky, do you need another embroidered ID square? We're leaving about noon tomorrow but I can always take my needle with me. Jenx Jenx’s PhotoBucket

Silversong, glad to see you didn't get blown away or washed away down there. As for the quilt squares, I think everyone is waiting for theirs except me. I have mine together and is posted in my bucket. I am sure they all are waiting patiently. I know who they are..so if you don't hear from them let me know. Judy's Photo Album
