If your Block on the new quilt looks a little different than when you last saw it, Some were a little small and I had to "stritch them a little".

I just received a letter from CHAC telling me I'll be receiving a check for $25 for the article they're publishing about our quilts and Jeremy in the next issue. That means we have $30(I still have Rudy's $5) towards the cost of the next quilting. We're going to need only $40 more and we'll have all of it for the 4 quilts. Has no one come up with a name for us to donate the quilts to? Jenx

Great news about the check, I haven't heard from anyone about someone to give the quilts to. We will get the rest of the money for the quilts by the time we need it.

Nicky, I have a couple of questions for our quilting mentor. 1. If it's soiled, can batting be washed before it's made into a quilt? 2. I think I know the answer to this one and might have asked before but you know this old brain doesn't work as well as it did before---Can you sew smaller pieces of batting together to make larger ones to use in a quilt? #1 I think you could probably put it in the machine and let it soak for about 30 min. then spin the water out But don't let the agitator run you may have a tub full of nothing but a mess if you do, or bring as is and we will take care of it.
Yes, you can. Nicky

Sadie, I don't really know. I don't know where there is one except in Little Rock, Arkansas close to the Children's Hospital. But I am sure they are all over the US. You could maybe get in touch with the McDonald's corp. headquarters and find out more about them. Janis
