Jenx.. Thank goodness that doctor was on his toes! I never heard of that before with the sore throat...wonder why that is never listed with the warning signs??? Glad to see your sense of humor is intact...does help in trying situations, doesn't it? Aso glad that hubby is good for a few more miles, and Judy, I am sure your hubby will be too. I tell ya, that is one of my frequent worries.....all of the signs for heart problems are also very common frequent symptoms of my disease.... catmac...(Maine) Lifetime member, lifetime crafter "Dreams are what crafters bring to life in the form of Art" Cat’s PhotoBucket

Take good care of your men, ladies. You wouldn't want to start over. It is so hard to train a new one at this age! If you go young so you can train them easier, some rude person always asks if they are your son!! Just kidding! Thoughts and prayers for you and your men. Life goes on, it is the journey that matters not the ending!

Thanks, everyone, I appreciate your concern. I brought the boss home this afternoon about 1. The Dr released him before 9 but it took another 4 hours to finish the paperwork so he could go. TYPICAL!!! He's feeling great---actually too good. I'm afraid he won't behave and cause consequences. For the procedure, they tap into the femoral artery right at the juncture of the leg and hip (groin area). Afterwards they "plugged" the opening with a collagen plug that will eventually dissolve. The fear is that he can do something to blow the plug and bleed. If that happens, they said, "apply pressure and call 911". I guess you could call it the "southern carotid". There's just a tiny mark at the insertion point---as if he scratched the head off of a pimple but it needs a few days to heal completely. Hopefully, everyone has impressed the dangers upon him enough so he'll behave. So far---so good. I haven't had to clobber him up side of the head yet---but I will if necessary. Cat, I've long known that pain in the jaw is a warning sign of heart problems but it didn't say pain in the throat so we didn't give it a thought. When we asked the Dr he said, "any unusual pain between the nose and navel is suspect. Talk to your Dr.". Aahhh, Cat, I've had people mistake me for his daughter---not the other way around. When we were married I was 19 and everyone said I looked to be about 14. I can finally appreciate it now. But you're right, I don't want to train another---I didn't do such a great job on this one. Fortunately, he came with some pretty good qualifications. Jenx Jenx’s PhotoBucket

I guess I got my people mixed again. Cat, you mentioned pain in the throat and I explained what the Dr told us. Then I forgot to switch to Tink who commented about mistaking hubbies for sons. I could probably think of a lot of excuses to cover my gaff but I'll let you come up with a suitable one for me. Perhaps I've been bottle blond for so long it's sinking in!!! The grandlet saw an old photo of me recently and didn't believe it was her gram. I had dark hair (and the Boss HAD hair!). Jenx’s PhotoBucket

Jenx, So sorry to hear about Bill. I have been away on Sanibel Island with son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren who came from NY to visit us. I have not been on the computer until tonight. Happy dr realized the systems and sent Bill to specialist. Glad he is back home and on the mend. My thoughts and prayers are with you and Bill. Cathy’s Photo Bucket

Hey, All. I'm leaving again. We'll be camping with the RV club until Sunday about noon or so. I don't know if we'll have internet so I may be silent until then. That dosn't mean, however, that you can talk about me behind my back because I'll read all about it when I return. Everyone keep safe. Hugs, Jenx Jenx’s PhotoBucket

I'M BACK!! I hope everyone missed me---at least a little. We had a good weekend with our RV group. Had a bit of rain and lots of wind but nothing to spoil all of the fun. We'd usually be doing it all over again next month but there's the National Rally in St Paul then so we skip our monthly campout. We'll didn't turn off the ref in the motor home or take everything out because we'll be leaving again for Albert Lea, MN in a week. I guess we'll have to wait until next year to get to meet Judy and Donna---unless you (either/both) can come here for a visit. Sorry you won't be able to make it. I've been trying to catch up with laundry and e-mails (100+ for me and 50+ for Bill) that stacked up while I was gone. I was also asked by one of our club members (on the rally committee) if I'd teach some craft seminars at the Rally NEXT YEAR. I'll have a year to plan, which helps tremendously. She saw a photo of the Grinch I made for daughter Terri and was wondering if I can teach that one. We discussed a few other projects and will have to determine which I can handle. I know of several members of our group who would help if needed so I don't worry about doing it. I don't get paid for it---strictly voluntary. I plan the craft, size of class and then get all of the supplies needed. I total all of the expenses and charge enough to cover them. I've learned some interesting things at some of the seminars---been disappointed in only a couple---and hope I can make it productive for those signing up. Jenx Jenx’s PhotoBucket

Gee Jenx...So you will be in Albert Lea this coming week? How long will you be down there? (up there for you) What days will you be there? I wish I could make it but that is a long haul for me. I guess I didn't realize you & Bill would be in Mn, next week. If I lived a life of leisure & was born rich...I'd be there for sure!! I would hop in my private jet...piloted by some cute pilot...and treat everyone to a night on the town. I wish!!! ok...back to reality. Pine Nut’s PhotoBucket

And if you are making those grinches out of light bulbs...let me know...I have plenty!! (free to you, even) and I can and will come to help if I know this far in advance!!!!! Judy

Bill & I will be leaving here next Sunday, June 15, for Albert Lea. We intend to be there for 2 nights and return home on the 17th. (If one/both of you can meet us there, we could spend an extra night before or after.) He will attend a planning meeting on Monday that pertains to the midwest area motor home rally that is scheduled for the summer of 2009. He will be working as a volunteer then. I have also been asked to teach craft seminars. I had hoped that Judy and/or Donna would be able to make it to Albert Lea to visit but it appears we'll have to wait another year. Entirely different, is the National Rally that is being held in St Paul in mid July of this year. Bill was asked to volunteer there also and would have gone except that I hate them. I've been to 2 but the miserable weather, crowded conditions, and lack of facilities made me swear never to attend another. I was actually tempted tho until I checked a map and found that both of you ladies are way outside of Bill's 50 mile range. I can't really expect him to drive so far out of the way just so I can visit you for a few hours. I hope this explains more clearly what's happening. We'll have to work on meeting next year. Sorry if my explanation was confusing before. Jenx Jenx’s PhotoBucket Metamora IL/Sebring FL (There's a very fine line between hobby and mental illness. Dave Berry)

Jenx...I am marking your dates on the calendar...I need to see "visual" days. For June & July...I'll check my schedule...None for July yet but I have company for 1 week in July. 13th on...IF i was able to come..I would run the idea by hubby (who never thinks I am rational on any point) and see waht happens. The best laid plans are those that are...how does that go again? Pine Nut’s PhotoBucket

My theory is toss the best laid plans in the trash and just DO IT! Seems like something always comes up otherwise. Life goes on, it is the journey that matters not the ending!

Jenx, I haven't been on in ages, still dealing with the achilaes tendonitis, but at least I have the boot off. I am so glad that Bill is doing well and it was good that the Dr. was on his toes, so to speak. I had the pain in the jaw and they put me on another heart med., and it went away. Sounds like you have a busy summer planned, and I am so glad you are both going to be able to enjoy it. I am still working on IF cards, and working on a project now for Cardmaking magazine. They are asking for cardmakers to send cards of Gratitude to them and they will in turn send them to a childrens hospital and give them to the family of patients so that they can send notes of thanks to who ever they want. Thought it sounded like a good idea, I that is what is keeping me out of trouble for now. I got the email by way of cathy, on the soup you fixed up for lunch the day we were there, my only problem is I can't find the kind of little tortaline pouches that you used. Yours looked to be freshly made. Do you remember where you got them. I have checked at Sweetbay, and Publix, and not luck. Hope everyone is doing well, and sorry I haven't been in touch lately. Hi, Hobbit, It's good to have you back with us and to know you're feeling better. You're a real sweetheart to be making all of those cards to give for other peoples' use. I know you sell enough that you could use the time for making your own. As to the soup, I bought the sausage tortelloni (as opposed to tortellini---I didn't know there was both) at Publix. It was fresh rather than dried or frozen. I can't say if all Publix's are laid out the same but it might help to know that if you stand inside the front door of the one in Sebring, it would be in the far left corner, in the same case as the luncheon meat, bacon, hot dogs. I've made similar soup using the chicken tortellini and it was good so probably could be used to substitute. I guess it's a good case of "make your own rules". I did. Let us know how it turns out and try not to stay away so long next time. Jenx Jenx’s PhotoBucket

Thanks jinx, I will have to check closer, and see if I can find them. I will try not to be absent so much in the future. I don't know how many notes to send, but I guess six would be a good number. I am more or less on my own now with my foot, go back to the Dr. in sex weeks, taking it slow riding my bike and walking for a few minutes at a time on the treadmill, this morning I did 1/4 mile in 8 minutes. not very fast but I guess I have to take baby steps for now. Hugs to all Hobbit
