STEP 1: Assemble large tag. To make tag, use paper trimmer to cut Neutral Tan cardstock into 5" x 8" rectangle. Trim corners. Cut Mango cardstock into 4 1/2" x 7 1/2" rectangle and shape in same way. Sandwich and glue orange print ribbon between tag pieces. Cut dot scrapbook paper into 4" x 5" rectangle. Use paper edger to trim top edge (Photo A).

STEP 2: Insert brads into tags. Use paper punch to punch holes through four corners of dot paper (Photo B). Insert smaller brads through holes. Use glue stick to attach dot paper to front of Mango paper. In same way, punch a hole through top of tag and insert larger brad.

STEP 3: Stamp small tag. Glue small tag to 2" x 3 1/2" piece of Mango cardstock. Cut around cardstock leaving 1/8" border. Stamp "THANK" and then "YOU" to front of tag (Photo C). Let dry. Thread brown print ribbon through hole in small tag. Glue small tag to front of dot paper. Make a tag for each family member and personalize by writing person's name on large tag.

STEP 4: Finish. Use ribbon to tie tag to back of chair. Have everyone write “thankful” notes to place in tags (Photo D).

Ribbon Ideas

Often I find unique fabric ribbon in thrift stores as well as craft stores. Depending on the width, you can use it to decorate many household items. The sheer ribbon is perfect as an upper and lower accent border for a plain lampshade. I have also used ribbon on many glass containers of various sizes. These can then be used as centerpieces or focal points in the home or on your patio. My favorite is lining the bottom of a window scarf. It’s quick and easy. Each project can be completed using a hot glue gun.
